Short Story: A New Dawn

Prologue

    One cold winter night, a Storm dragon was riding the waves. What a night! He thought. Suddenly lightning clashed a tree. That was his weather controlling powers taking flight. His name was Hail, and nobody knew...

    Except him.

    He looked around the dark waves he was swimming in and the dark, spiraling sky. He was ready. To do this.

    Fly into the sky.

    He adjusted his wings, and with that, he took off, and turned into the most powerful dragon. Hail. And nobody would know...

    Except, the world.

Chapter One

    Hail turned about to locate a chip of wood that hit him. He quickly spun around until his body was a blur in the brewing tornado. Nobody knew of the danger that was coming. Hail flicked his tail to the wood once he found it, and that splinter of wood turned into the smallest splinters of wood anydragon had seen.
    Something darted at him, and sent him flying backwards out of the tornado. A ridiculous caretaker's new car hood. Pathetic, he though, and spat.
